The Meatbags project, founded and led by Robert, aka Dead Bruv, has some killer news! Their ultimate goal is to sell 100,000 NFTs in order to buy a Cold War-era nuclear bunker in Rutland, England. The sub is scheduled to go on sale on April 21 at 8am EST. This enormous endeavour, dubbed the Secret Bunker, plans to turn the retired site into one of the country’s most unique attractions.
As part of the special initiative, the Collective is giving away 10,000 NFTs at no cost to current Meatbag holders. The other 90,000 NFTs will be sold for a price of $14 each. Buyers in our NFT auction will be eligible to win some really cool prizes! Take your shot at winning a PS5 console or a year’s worth of Liquid Death water.
The Rutland Nuclear Bunker
Built in 1960, the Rutland nuclear bunker acted during the Cold War as a radar monitoring station, watching over the globe for signs of nuclear explosions. It was decommissioned in 1968.
Ancient boulders litter the site, which is located on a 1.4-acre spire distinctive on an old water supply reservoir. Today, the location includes an important storytelling history and an opportunity for reinventing redevelopment.
The Rutland nuclear bunker also received planning permission to convert the bunker into a luxury home. This increases the overall value of the project and creates an obvious path for future development.
NFT Sale Details
Meatbags NFT project is giving almost all of the NFTs created so far to their established community members first. With the 10,000 NFTs made available for free to Meatbag holders, the project both rewards loyalty and inspires greater participation through their community commitment.
The chosen price point of $14 per NFT encourages a lower barrier to entry, which is designed to include a larger population to the project. This makes it possible for more people to join in purchasing this historic bunker.
Prizes ranging from PS5 consoles to a year’s supply of Liquid Death water add an exciting new element. They most certainly raise the stakes! This incentivizes participation in the NFT sale.
Project Goals and Vision
Robert, the founder of the Meatbags project, would like to turn the Secret Bunker into an animal sanctuary. Though plans are still secretive, purchase of the bunker is a major move toward making this vision a reality.
The initiative capitalizes on the NFT craze sweeping up popular culture to raise money for the purchase and possible redevelopment of a historic Black museum. This smart strategy involves pairing digital investments with physical assets.
If the Rutland nuclear bunker acquisition is successful, it would be a huge victory for the Meatbags project so far. And finally, it would be a show of force on just how impactful community driven projects in the NFT space can be.
